Margie Christine Whitlock

November 12, 1940 - December 5, 2018

Margie Christine Whitlock (Hedgecough) passed on to a better place, surrounded by her loving family, on Dec. 5, 2018. She was born to Eddie Barlow Hedgecough and Dovie May Hedgecough (Graves) on Nov. 12, 1940 in Franklin, Kentucky. The Hedgecough family migrated to the Lafayette area in the early 1950’s looking for a better life. The family lived in Lafayette and the Buck Creek areas of the local community. She married Allen Willis Whitlock in November of 1961. Together they had two sons, Jeffrey Allen Whitlock (companion: Barb Ray) of Lafayette and Jesse Neal Whitlock (wife: Jo) of Huntsville, Texas. Mrs. Whitlock had been employed at various places in the Lafayette area including The Palms, Landis and Gyr, and CTS Microelectronics. She loved to hunt, fish, play cards, and socialize with her family and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, as well as her brothers Jerry and Charles Hedgecough and a sister Thelma Christmas. She also has two surviving sisters Francis Ford of Kentucky, Deb Ludwig of Florida, and a brother Donnie Hedgecough of Lafayette. She was especially fond of her niece and nephew Jacob and Eleesha Hedgecough (fiancé: Pedro Haro). She is also survived by several grandchildren; (wife: Katie Weeks Whitlock) of Huntsville, Texas.
